About this role

Third Space Therapy combines the independence of private practice with the support of a group setting, focused on expanding Medicaid-covered behavioral healthcare.

We’re looking for passionate fully licensed Psychiatrists to serve as Collaborating / Supervising Physicians for our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs). This is a flexible, primarily non-clinical role focused on oversight, collaboration, and quality assurance within a fully remote care model serving Medicaid populations.

What you’ll need

- Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in Ohio

- Board certification in Psychiatry (ABPN or equivalent)

- Working knowledge of collaborative practice requirements for PMHNPs

- Experience treating diverse psychiatric conditions across the lifespan

- Comfort with telehealth models, EHR-based chart review, and remote communication tools

- Experience supervising or collaborating with PMHNPs

- Strong clinical judgment across a range of psychiatric presentations and populations

- A genuine commitment to expanding access to high-quality psychiatric care for Medicaid member

- A collaborative mindset and appreciation for working within a mission-driven care team

- The ability to thoughtfully balance regulatory supervision requirements with meaningful clinical partnership

What you'll do

- Provide required physician collaboration/supervision to assigned PMHNPs

- Conduct regular chart reviews to ensure clinical quality, appropriate prescribing, and documentation integrity

- Meet with PMHNPs to discuss complex cases, diagnostic questions, and treatment planning

- Provide real-time and asynchronous consultation on challenging or escalating patient presentations

- Contribute to the development of clinical protocols, prescribing guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives
