CNC Machine Operator – Plasma/Laser + Gantry Crane | 4-Day Week (Afternoons)
Join Vulcan as a CNC Machine Operator running plasma/laser cutting machines and overhead gantry cranes on a 4-day week: Mon–Thu, 2:00pm–12:30am. Enjoy stable hours, overtime opportunities and a supportive team.
What you’ll be doing
Operating CNC plasma/laser cutting machines
Loading and unloading steel using an overhead gantry crane
Reading and working from drawings
Maintaining quality, safety and housekeeping standards
Supporting wider workshop operations as needed
What you’ll bring
Experience operating CNC plasma or laser cutting machines
Experience with overhead gantry crane operation
Background working with steel or other heavy materials
Ability to read and interpret engineering/workshop drawings
Currently residing in New Zealand or holding a valid work visa
Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical and drug screen
