Join us in a culture that not only promotes meaningful work and professional development, but provides a flexible, hybrid work environment and excellent benefits, which empower you to thrive both personally and professionally.</p> <p><strong>How we support you:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Hybrid model – up to 50% work from home</li> <li>Flexible schedules including ample flexibility in the summer months</li> <li>Up to 9% towards 401k (3% fixed Compeer contribution plus up to 6% match)</li> <li>Benefits: medical, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, life &amp; AD&amp;D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, wellness program &amp; EAP</li> <li>Vacation, sick leave, holidays/floating holidays, parental leave, and volunteer paid time off</li> <li>Learning and development programs</li> <li>Mentorship programs</li> <li>Cross-functional committee opportunities (i.e. Inclusion Council, emerging professional groups, etc.)</li> <li>Professional membership/certification reimbursement and more!</li> </ul> <p>Casual/seasonal &amp; intern team members are not eligible for benefits except for state-mandated programs.</p> <p>To learn more about Compeer Financial visit&nbsp;<a href="https://www.compeer.com/careers">www.compeer.com/careers</a>.&nbsp;</p></div><p><strong>Where you will work:</strong> This position offers a hybrid work option up to 50% remote and is based out of the Duluth, MN office location.</p> <p><strong>The contributions you will make:</strong> This position provides credible appraisals to internal and external clients by following the provisions of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and maintains sales data and valuation systems.</p> <p><strong>A typical day:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <p>Appraisal Services</p> <ul> <li>Applies approved appraisal practices and procedures to produce credible, reliable, and well supported value conclusions of real estate being appraised.</li> <li>Produces concise reports supporting the market value of these properties.</li> <li>Completes monthly and annual benchmark studies to support lending functions.</li> <li>Develops and grows an external book of business.</li> </ul> <p>Inspections</p> <ul> <li>Physically inspects subject property and sales to verify property attributes when applicable.</li> <li>Documents the pertinent characteristics of properties (size, condition, location, improvements, etc.) to ensure they are accurately represented.</li> </ul> <p>Market Data</p> <ul> <li>Performs market data collection and analysis and maintains an accurate sales database.</li> <li>Researches building cost/depreciation characteristics for improved sales.</li> <li>Provides basic market synopsis including property sales information to other departments (Ag Lending, Diversified Markets, Credit Underwriting, RLS and Agri-Access) and potential clients to aid in valuation decisions.</li> </ul> <p>Industry Expertise</p> <ul> <li>Attends education events, training events and professional meetings to advance professional and technical skills and keep current on required licenses.</li> <li>Completes continuing education appraisal classes to maintain Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license.</li> <li>Provides training and mentoring to Associate Appraisers.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The skills and experience we prefer you have:</strong>&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture-Business, Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.</li> <li>Minimum 3 years of related experience as a Certified Appraiser.</li> <li>Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license, preferred.</li> <li>Knowledge of federal and state (Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.</li> <li>Solid knowledge of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice.</li> <li>Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.</li> <li>Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.</li> <li>Solid knowledge of client service principles and practices.</li> <li>Solid skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.</li> <li>Solid skill in applying appraisal concepts.</li> <li>Solid skill in maintaining confidential information.</li> <li>Valid driver’s license.</li> </ul> <p>#IND100</p> <p><strong>How we will take care of you:</strong></p> <p>Our job titles may span more than one career level (associate, senior, principal, etc.).
