Position Overview
The CDL Driver is responsible for safely transporting materials and equipment to and from job sites, ensuring timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and operational support for field crews.
This role is essential to maintaining project schedules, supporting safe work zones, and ensuring vehicle reliability across operations.

Key Responsibilities
Transportation & Logistics
Safely load, transport, and unload materials and equipment to job sites
Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with DOT regulations and weight limits
Coordinate with supervisors and crews to support efficient routing and scheduling
Maintain accurate delivery logs, including quantities, locations, and delivery times

Safety & Compliance
Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
Maintain safe work zones and support crew and public safety
Wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and responsible manner

Vehicle Maintenance & Inspections
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and reliability
Maintain proper fuel, fluid levels, and tire conditions
Report mechanical issues promptly and complete required documentation
Keep assigned vehicles clean, organized, and compliant with company standards

Field Support
Assist field crews with basic site preparation, traffic control, and equipment support
Adapt to changing job site conditions and contribute to team productivity
Maintain professionalism, reliability, and accountability in all duties

Consistent on-time delivery of materials and equipment
Reliable completion of inspections and required documentation
Effective support of field operations and team collaboration
Proper care and maintenance of assigned vehicles

Field-based role supporting active construction and roadway projects
Combination of driving and physical work in outdoor environments

Requirements
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices
Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety standards
Ability to perform physical work, including loading/unloading materials
Strong reliability, time management, and communication skills
Preferred:
Experience in construction, paving, or pavement preservation environments
Familiarity with traffic control and work zone safety practices
