Work is performed under the supervision of the WIOA Program Lead. The Career Advisor reports to the WIOA Program Lead. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.</p> <p>The Career Advisor is an integral part of our team and will assist us with our mission of<em> accelerating the human condition! </em></p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Career Team also offers a competitive package, including</strong>:</span></p> <ul> <li>401 (k) with a generous employer match;</li> <li>medical, dental, and vision insurance with an employee-sponsored HSA on any qualifying plans;</li> <li>disability insurance;</li> <li>and supplemental insurance</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success</strong><strong>:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Provide information and case management services to the community and eligible WIOA participants</li> <li>Collaborate with the Intake Specialist to complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program </li> <li>Assess job seekers’ employment, abilities, and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods</li> <li>Serves as a liaison between workforce development programs and community partners</li> <li>Enter data into VOS and otherwise use and process clients through any participant information system as required</li> <li>Guide job seekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP) based on their specific occupational goals</li> <li>Stay on top of labor market trends and best practices</li> <li>Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services</li> <li>Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs, or job opportunities and follow up on those activities</li> <li>Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs, and other group presentations for clients</li> <li>Follow all policies, procedures, and regulations related to eligibility documentation</li> <li>Maintain accurate individual case files for each registered customer assuring that each file contains all required eligibility documents and meets compliance requirements</li> <li>Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks. Participate in all staff-related events as required including but not limited to training, staff meetings, and individual supervision</li> <li>Complete all required reports within the data management system</li> <li>Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset</li> <li>Other duties and projects as needed for the success of the program</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>The Ideal Qualifications for this Position Include:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience </li> <li>Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources </li> <li>Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions</li> <li>Must have MS Word and Excel skills at a minimum, and the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems</li> <li>Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base, with the ability to be culturally sensitive</li> <li>Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them towards achieving goals</li> <li>Ability to meet and exceed set goals and objectives</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, time management, customer service, organizational skills, and communication skills, both oral and written required</li> <li>Knowledgeable about the WIOA program and other workforce program requirements</li> <li>A demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient in maintaining a high level of confidentiality</li> <li>Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure </li> <li>Knowledgeable about the local region and relevant partners</li> <li>Bilingual or multilingual preferred</li> <li>A Valid Driver’s License</li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Salary</strong></span>: $40K - Salary is commensurate with education and experience.</p> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Travel:</strong></span> The position may require local travel up to 30% of the…
