• Working hours: 5 days, Monday to Friday 9.00 - 6.00pm

• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $3200 + Variable Bonus + Health Insurance + Commission

• Duration: Permanent

About the role
We are looking for a hands-on technician to diagnose, service and repair photographic equipment, including digital, mirrorless and DSLR cameras, lenses, flashes, studio lighting, dry cabinets and accessories. The role requires careful handling of delicate, high-value equipment and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
Main Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults in cameras, lenses and related equipment.

• Carry out repairs, servicing, adjustments, calibration and component replacement.

• Perform sensor and lens cleaning, and general equipment maintenance.

• Use technical manuals, diagrams and diagnostic tools to identify faults.

• Test equipment after repair and record findings, parts used and service history.

• Inspect incoming equipment and identify additional faults where applicable.

• Explain repair findings to the relevant team or customers when required.

• Handle and store customer equipment carefully, and keep the repair workstation organised.

• Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers or service centres for technical support when needed.
Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience in camera, photographic equipment or electronics repair

• Practical knowledge of cameras, lenses and photographic accessories.

• Basic understanding of mechanical and electronic systems, with experience using precision tools and testing equipment.

• Able to read technical manuals, service documents and diagrams.

• Careful, methodical and responsible when handling delicate equipment.

• Able to work independently and communicate repair findings clearly.

• Basic computer skills for service records and documentation.
