Role Overview

Lead the technical transformation from Citrix VDI to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Design, build, and migrate workloads using Nerdio Manager for Enterprise.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable AVD landing zones and infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.

• Migrate user profiles, applications, and workloads from Citrix to AVD.

• Deploy and configure Nerdio Manager for Enterprise for automation and autoscaling.

• Build and optimize golden images using MSIX App Attach and Nerdio.

• Implement FSLogix for profile container management and storage tuning.

• Define Azure network, compute, and storage options to optimize performance and reduce costs.

• Troubleshoot complex issues related to Azure identity, networking, and session hosts.

Required Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) components and architecture.

• Strong understanding of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops for migration projects.

• Hands-on experience with Nerdio Manager for Enterprise.

• Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).

• Proficiency with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Terraform for automation and deployment.

• Expert knowledge of Microsoft FSLogix configuration and profile management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in enterprise VDI engineering (Citrix, VMware, or AVD).

• Experience leading at least one Citrix-to-AVD migration project.

• Microsoft Certified: AZ-140 (Configuring Azure Virtual Desktop) – Required.

• Nerdio certifications (NMP or NME) – Preferred.
