About this role

Brainlabs is the independent, founder-led agency building the future of media. We have over 1000 Brainlabbers based across the global, all united through the 12 principles laid out in our Culture Code. We're full-service, with people and AI agents working side by side, all aligned to one thing: maximizing our clients' revenue through a genuinely scientific approach to media. If you want to help play your part in achieving this for the world's biggest brands in an environment that will support and challenge you in equal measure, this is where you do it.

What's the role
As an SEO Associate Director at Brainlabs, you'll shape strategy and oversee delivery across a portfolio of clients. That means defining what success looks like, measuring impact against SEO objectives and wider client KPIs, and actively managing the delivery team to hit those targets. Search is changing fast, with AI-powered features and generative engines reshaping how people find information, and you'll be central to how we help clients stay ahead of that. You'll generate new ideas, take them to clients, test them, and share what works.

What you do

• Using your practice knowledge, you'll build and deliver SEO strategies that move the needle, prioritising high-value work based on data and client business goals.

• You'll develop SEO guidelines and processes that make the whole team sharper and more consistent.

• You'll contribute to the SEO practice roadmap, helping ensure our offering keeps pace with how search is evolving, including AI Overviews, generative engines like Perplexity and ChatGPT Search, and what that means for visibility and content strategy.

• You'll lead some of our larger accounts, building strong client relationships and acting as a point of escalation, making sure work lands on time and to standard.

• You'll lead and mentor people across the practice, growing capability and knowledge at every level.

Who you are

• Strong all-round SEO knowledge with at least four years of experience.

• A solid understanding of AI Search: how Google AI Overviews, large language models and generative engines are changing organic visibility, and how to build strategies that account for them.

• Demonstrable success in improving SEO strategies through automation, process improvements and technology adoption.

• A good understanding of how other channels work and optimise alongside SEO.

• A confident, authentic communicator who cares about the quality of work and keeps learning.

• Passionate about growing the people around you.

• Strong presentation skills, with solid data analysis and reporting ability.

• Attentive to detail, methodical and process-led.

• Commercially…
