Whether in the field or the office, our teams are united by a shared commitment to innovation, safety, and delivering exceptional results for our clients.</p> <p></p></div><p><strong>Job Summary:</strong></p> <p>The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports the planning, coordination, and execution of civil/site development projects from pre‑construction through closeout. Working under the direction of a Project Manager, the APM helps ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.</p> <p>This role is ideal for someone who is technically strong, highly organized, eager to learn, and ready to grow into a full Project Manager role. The APM collaborates with engineers, subcontractors, field teams, and clients while assisting with documentation, scheduling, procurement, and daily project administration.</p> <p><strong>Job Duties:</strong></p> <p><strong>Pre‑Construction Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and scope with engineers, surveyors, and clients.</li> <li>Support estimating efforts, takeoffs, and constructability reviews.</li> <li>Help prepare preliminary schedules, budgets, and resource plans.</li> <li>Identify long‑lead materials and assist with early procurement coordination.</li> <li>Help prepare bid packages and gather subcontractor proposals.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Permitting &amp; Compliance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist with permit applications, documentation, and tracking.</li> <li>Coordinate with regulatory agencies for inspections and approvals.</li> <li>Maintain compliance records for environmental, erosion control, and municipal requirements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Scheduling &amp; Coordination</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the development and updating of project schedules.</li> <li>Track critical path activities and upcoming milestones.</li> <li>Coordinate with Superintendents to ensure materials, equipment, and crews are aligned with schedule needs.</li> <li>Help adjust schedules based on field conditions or design changes.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Procurement &amp; Materials Management</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in purchasing materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.</li> <li>Track deliveries, verify quantities, and resolve discrepancies.</li> <li>Maintain logs for materials, submittals, and equipment usage.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Subcontractor &amp; Vendor Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Help prepare subcontract agreements and scopes of work.</li> <li>Coordinate subcontractor schedules and documentation.</li> <li>Attend coordination meetings and assist in resolving conflicts or issues.</li> <li>Track subcontractor performance and compliance.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Field Operations Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct regular site visits to observe progress, quality, and safety.</li> <li>Assist Superintendents with documentation, RFIs, and field directives.</li> <li>Help troubleshoot field issues and communicate solutions to the PM.</li> <li>Support daily reporting, production tracking, and photo documentation.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Financial &amp; Cost Control Assistance</strong></p> <ul> <li>Help maintain project budgets, cost codes, and financial logs.</li> <li>Assist in reviewing invoices, change orders, and pay applications.</li> <li>Track quantities, production rates, and cost exposures.</li> <li>Support the PM in forecasting and cost‑to‑complete updates.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Communication &amp; Client Coordination</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in preparing weekly progress reports and meeting agendas.</li> <li>Help maintain clear communication with clients, engineers, and inspectors.</li> <li>Document meeting minutes and follow‑up actions.</li> <li>Support relationship‑building efforts with clients and stakeholders.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Quality Control &amp; Safety Support</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist in enforcing quality standards and verifying work meets specifications.</li> <li>Support safety initiatives, toolbox talks, and site audits.</li> <li>Track testing requirements (density, compaction, utilities, concrete, asphalt).</li> <li>Help document and resolve non‑conformance…
