This position is responsible for processing all release of information (ROI) , specifically medical record requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring accuracy and providing customers with the highest quality product and customer service. Associates must at all times safeguard and protect the patient’s right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient’s medical information and that all releases of information are in compliance with the request, authorization, company policy and HIPAA regulations. This is an intermediate level position with at least 1 year related HIM experience.

Position Highlights

This is a Hybrid Role. Work from home and occasionally travel to following locations to support: Palm Springs, Indio, Joshua Tree, and Turlock, CA

• Full Time: Monday thru Friday- 8am-4:30pm

• Release Of Information processing

• Team support for Health Information Specialist I and II

• Daily Workflow reporting and assignments

• Monthly ROI audit assistance

• Coverage support as needed

• Assist with New Hire training.

• Documenting information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors.

• Proficient in Microsoft office (including Word and Excel)

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of HIPAA and medical terminology

• Knowledge of ROI request types

• Technical Proficiency

• Travel & On-Site Readiness
