<p><strong>Conifers</strong> is transforming security operations centers <strong>(SOCs) with CognitiveSOC™</strong>, its AI SOC platform, enabling enterprises and MSSPs to achieve SOC excellence.</p> <p>By leveraging agentic AI, Conifers helps security teams investigate complex, multi-tier incidents with speed, accuracy, and trust. </p> <p>Led by seasoned cybersecurity leaders and backed by SYN Ventures, PICUS Capital, and others, the company brings deep industry knowledge and innovation to an increasingly AI-driven threat landscape.</p> <p><strong>We’re building an AI-native security platform that enables autonomous agents to investigate real-world threats at a massive scale.</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>We’re looking for a hands-on <strong>AI Engineering Team Lead</strong> to <strong>define the technical direction, architecture, and engineering foundations behind agentic AI systems designed to solve complex cybersecurity investigation challenges</strong>.</p> <p>You’ll shape how autonomous agents reason through security events, use tools, evaluate findings, interact with real security data, and operate reliably at scale.</p> <p>This is not an LLM integration role; it’s about architecting production-grade systems at the intersection of Python backend engineering, distributed architecture, agent orchestration, evaluations, and cybersecurity.</p> <p>You’ll lead a strong team while staying deep in the code, owning the architectural decisions and technical foundations that enable AI agents to investigate and respond to real-world threats.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong> <strong>:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead the architecture and development of production-grade AI agent systems that investigate real-world security events</li> <li>Build the core infrastructure powering agent workflows, tool-calling, reasoning flows, evaluations, and system orchestration</li> <li>Own complex engineering problems around reliability, latency, observability, scale, and production quality</li> <li>Stay hands-on with Python backend development, system design, and technical decision-making</li> <li>Design distributed, cloud-native services that support AI-driven investigations at scale</li> <li>Translate ambiguous AI/product/security challenges into clear technical solutions and executable engineering plans</li> <li>Mentor and lead a strong team of engineers while setting a high technical bar</li> <li>Partner closely with Product, Security, Design, and business stakeholders to turn real customer problems into robust AI-powered capabilities</li> <li>Continuously improve how agents are tested, evaluated, monitored, and trusted in production environments</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What You'll Need :</strong></p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in software engineering, <strong>backend development</strong>, or <strong>AI/ML systems</strong></li> <li><strong>Experience leading engineers, mentoring developers, or taking technical ownership of complex projects</strong></li> <li><strong>Hands-on experience building scalable backend systems or distributed architectures</strong></li> <li><strong>Experience building or integrating AI/ML capabilities into production systems</strong></li> <li><strong>Familiarity with LLMs, GenAI technologies, or modern AI frameworks</strong></li> <li><strong>Experience working with production environments </strong>(performance, reliability, monitoring)</li> <li>Strong programming skills (<strong>Python preferred</strong>)</li> <li>Experience designing scalable system architectures and technical solutions</li> <li>Experience working in fast-paced startups or high-growth environments - advantage</li> <li>Professional fluency in <strong>English and Hebrew</strong></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Nice to have :</strong></p> <ul> <li>Experience with AI agents, agent orchestration, tool-calling, reasoning workflows, or evaluation frameworks</li> <li>Experience building GenAI infrastructure, LLM platforms, RAG systems, or AI runtime environments</li> <li>Background in cybersecurity, SOC, threat detection, incident response, or security investigation workflows</li> <li>Experience in early-stage startups or high-growth product companies</li> <li>Experience leading AI/platform/backend teams in highly technical environments</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Our Commitment</strong> <strong>:</strong></p> <p>We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.</p> <p>All qualified applicants will…
