The Role: AI-Driven Software Development Consultant
As an AI-Driven Software Development Consultant at Xebia, you’ll work closely with clients to design and build high-quality software solutions. Each project is different, giving you the opportunity to work across industries, technologies, and engineering challenges.
Depending on the engagement, you might:
Design distributed systems and scalable backend services

Build cloud-native platforms and modern APIs

Improve engineering practices within development teams

Help organisations adopt modern software architectures

Explore and implement AI-driven solutions and intelligent applications

What you’ll need
5+ years of experience in software engineering

Strong backend development experience using Kotlin, Java, Scala, or Golang

Experience building scalable backend systems or distributed architectures

A solid understanding of software engineering best practices such as testing, clean code, and continuous delivery

Experience with AI technologies, LLMs, AI integrations, or a strong affinity for AI-driven development

A consulting mindset: you enjoy collaborating with different teams and understanding business needs

Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

A passion for learning and sharing knowledge

Nice to have
Experience with cloud-native architectures

Experience building AI-enabled applications

Contributions to open source or personal side projects

Active participation in developer communities or meetups

Experience with data-driven systems

Dutch language skills
