In this role you will report to the head of finance and will be carrying out the following tasks:

* **Lead the accounting function** and ensure compliant financial reporting.
* Own the **month-end and year-end close process.**
* **Manage, coach, and develop the accounting team** (2 direct reports).
* Ensure accuracy and integrity of the **General Ledger**.
* Lead **external audits** and coordinate with auditors.
* Oversee **Belgian and European VAT compliance**.
* **Advise** on accounting policies and complex transactions.
* Review **reconciliations, accruals, provisions, and key journal entries.**
* **Improve processes**, controls, and accounting procedures.
* Drive finance systems, **automation**, and AI initiatives.
